Yomi Faparusi (independent) (also known as Fapas) is running for election to the U.S. Senate to represent Tennessee. Yomi Fapas was raised on the campus of the University of Ibadan, in Nigeria. Through hard work and perseverance, he attended medical school and achieved a Doctorate from John Hopkins University. Aside from holding a Ph.D., he also holds a Juris Doctorate.

He is an active community leader, mentor and thriving business owner in Brentwood, Tennessee. The desire to give back to America and an enthusiasm for helping others achieve the American Dream have driven him to seek election to the United States Senate. Fapas is married to Yetunde and they have three sons-Laolu, Baba and Yomi Jr. They attend Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, Tennessee.
